WEBB, Francis William (Frank)

On 6 January 2021 at Tauranga Hospital, Frank died surrounded by his loving family and in the hearts of those of us who were unable to stand beside him.

Loving and dearly loved husband and best friend of Tricia; cherished father and friend of Sarah and Ronald (London), Dave and Sarah, Mike, and Andrew and Jula (Glasgow).  Besotted grandad, adored by Hadley, Isla, Elliot and Nele.

Loved brother and brother-in-law of Sally and Paul Nevison, and uncle of Paul Doran.

A private family gathering has been held.

The family thank all those at the Cancer Centre and the hospital who have cared for Frank

over the last four months.

PAYNE, Nolene Anne (nee Higgins)

Passed away peacefully 9 January 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Hugh. Loving mum and Granny to Jane and Bruce, Simon, Lisa and Matt, Vicki and Dave, Logan and Rodelle, and families.

In accordance with Nolene’s wishes, a private cremation has been held.

YOUNG, Patricia Frances (Tricia)

Passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, 10th January 2021.

Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Derek for 48 years. Much loved Mum and Nonna to Trudi and Stu, Donna and Nick, Riley, Cooper, Milla and Brooke.

A life well lived. A very special lady taken too soon.

A service to celebrate Tricia’s life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 16th at Olive Tree Cottage,

247 Joyce Road, Tauranga.

Heartfelt thanks to the amazing team at Waipuna Hospice for their dedication and support.

After a long battle with sickness, it is with heavy and sore hearts that we announce the passing of Chappy Bidois.

Chappy was the proud son of Bobbin Bidois and Mapuna Martin. Father to Sandra & Tupz, Kalem & Samantha. Husband to Ruby. Brother to Henrietta, George, Wayne, Cecilia, Jocelyn, John, Tony, Robert (Puppet), Frank, and Tania. Koro to Olivia, Tipare, Mamaeroa, Barlee, Charlotte, Jynaer, Jessica, Sydney, and Maddison. Stepdad to Jonelle, Aston, Rawiri, and Kate.

The Rā Nehu is Friday 8th January 2021, 11am at Poutūterangi Marae.

GLEESON, Michael Terrence
Sadly passed away at home in Tauranga January 4th 2021 after a short illness, aged 66. Dearly loved husband of Alison. Much loved Dad of Lisa and Richard, Tracy and Jason, Nikki and Tony, Melissa and Scott, Jonny and Tania. Cherished Pops of his 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Loved son of the late Terry and Clarice and son-in-law of the late George and Betsy Gray. Much loved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle.

A requiem mass for Mike will be held at 11am on Thursday 7th January 2021 at St Mary Immaculate, corner of Cameron Road and First Avenue, Tauranga. Live streaming is available at www.taurangamoanacatholic.nz under Masses.

BAILEY, Colleen Anne (nee Hannah)
On 1st January 2021 at Waipuna Hospice, aged 82 years. Wife of the late Les for 57 years. Dearly loved mother of Michael and Simon, and much loved mother in law of Tara, and beloved Nana of Chloe and Sebastian. Much loved sister and sister in law of Vicki and Lance Aplin and family.
No funeral service will be held in accordance with Colleen’s wishes. 
Heartfelt thanks to the team at Waipuna Hospice for their love and care during Mum’s last days.

BARKER, Sidney 'Sid' Frank

Passed away peacefully in his 88th year at Summerset by the Sea, Katikati.

Most cherished husband to Dorothy and father to Iain, Fiona, and Rachael. Treasured Pop to five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Summerset by the Sea Katikati.

A service to celebrate Sid's live will be held at the St Peter's Anglican Church, 2 Carisbrooke Street, Katikati, on Thursday 7th January 2021 at 2pm.

JONES, Paul Elderton

December 20, 2020 aged 90.

Loved husband of Betty and father of Glenys Parton, Rae Loveridge and partner Keith, Maurice (deceased) and partner Robbie, and Lorraine Jones. Respected ex father-in-law of Graham Parton, Albert Loveridge and Sharron Jones. Loved Poppa of Keegan and Gemma; Seth, Jarrod and Nathan; Nicholas, Abby-Leigh, Amanda, Matthew and Rebecca; Phoebe, Kane, Ashleigh, Shanan and Talia; and families. Loved Poppa Paul of 17 great grandchildren. Special brother-in-law and uncle of Helen and Peter Sheerin, Megan and Kelly Sheerin and Murray and Joan Bailey.

Heartfelt thanks to the amazing Malyon House staff (the Firm) for their skill, kindness, patience and witty banter in the 9 years’ care of the self-appointed “Mayor of Malyon House”.

ANDERSON, Daphne Gladys May (nee Harris)

Formerly of Manunui and Tokoroa, recently of Papamoa. Passed away peacefully on 12 January 2021 at Tauranga Hospital surrounded by her loving family, aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Eric. Much loved mother of 4 - Ray and Pauline, Cyril and Greata, Terry and Lyn, the late Joy and the late Simon. Cherished and much loved Nana of Rachael and Greg, Tim, Keri and Stacey, Amy, Clare and Sam, Sarah and Louise. Loving Nana Daph to her 16 great grandchildren.

She is now at rest with her beloved Eric and cherished daughter Joy.

Our thanks to the dedicated staff at Tauranga Hospital for their care and compassion.

A celebration of Daph’s life will be held 2pm Tuesday 19 January at the Pyes Pa Memorial Park Chapel, 403 Pyes Pa Road, Tauranga.
